POPULATION, SOCIAL, & ECONOMIC, DATA	BACKGROUND The SDSU Rural Life & Census Data Center provides South Dakotans with federal, state, and local population information concerning family, education, government, agriculture, business, and employment. The RLCDC is a cooperative venture between the U.S. Census Bureau and South Dakota State University. In return for receiving publications and cd-roms from the Census Bureau, the Center assists data users locate and use the information they need. OBJECTIVES Provide public with Census Bureau and Rural Life information. Provide research assistance to data users. Prepare indicators of the socio-demographic characteristics of the state and local areas. Analyze rural trends.
